There are sometimes that I really do take a long break on Tumblr (3 or more days). I also have a life outside and I’m preparing so many things about other things especially my thesis. I really want to maintain this as consistent as possible but it is not possible. Also, I have a bad habit of holding some posts until I am already contented with the reach of my previous posts.
Also, view my...

Plaza Roma, Intramuros (Pre-WW2, as I imagined it)
Hello UrbanHistorian!
I love your tumblr! I’ve been following you for months now. My love affair with history and architecture developed when I was a student at PSID. Whenever my schedule permits, I visit Intramuros to wander and “urban sketch”. Documenting “developments” and restoration, particularly the Ayuntamiento Building. I love everything Spanish Colonial, I...

This lawmaker has had enough.
Dismayed by shows portraying members of Congress as fat, foul-mouthed politicians clad in ill-fitting clothes, Pampanga Rep. Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr. has filed a resolution appealing to film and TV producers to “stop typecasting congressmen and congresswomen as villains or crooks in movies and telenovelas.”
Gonzales proposed House Resolution No. 2140 urging...

Yes, respect other people’s work of art.
Sigh.
I have sent a letter of intent for the Tree Planting Meet Up to the Mayor’s Office last January. It’s nearing March already and then still no reply. If March 1 comes and no approval yet, we’ll take the extreme step.
When I say extreme, it might be dangerous.
That marks the end of my poetry attack. I’m sleepy already. I posted my full Batangas Trip Photos in my Facebook Page, here is the link.

CITY SENSE By Paulo Alcazaren
It has been a month since I wrote the article on Trudl Zipper and her husband Herbert. I had suggested that some Hollywood producer make a blockbuster on the life of this refugee from Nazi Europe, with Rachel Weisz in the lead role. Escaping Europe, Trudl found herself and her husband in Japanese-occupied Manila and their story was a...
